Now that Gentlemen Prefer Blondes has closed, it's time for the next show! 1776 is a Tony-winning musical (1969) that dramatizes the Second Continental Congress's struggle to declare independence from Britain, focusing on John Adams's efforts to persuade fellow delegates. Featuring music by Sherman Edwards and a book by Peter Stone, it portrays Adams, Franklin, and Jefferson drafting the Declaration of Independence.
Auditions will be held on May 11 & 12, 2026 at 7pm at Mt. Zion UMC in Marietta, Ga.
Call backs will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 7pm.
Please come prepared with 32 bars of a musical theatre piece in classic broadway style. Please bring a recording of your audition piece to play at the audition. Cast Size: Medium (11 to 20 performers; flexible). Females are encouraged to audition for male roles as well as female roles!
There will be cold reads of a few excerpts from the production.
Rehearsals will be held mostly Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday evenings each week, with one weekend day rehearsal every other week.

Delegate from Massachusetts. John is a dutiful husband. Opinionated, passionate, and a bit boisterous, he wears his age with pride. Starving for independence from England.

We are located in Marietta, Georgia just outside of Atlanta. Currently, the group is an affiliation of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church on Johnson Ferry Road. Although this group is just in its infancy, the creative team has many years of experience producing high quality plays and musicals over the last 10 years. Harmony Theatre is looking forward to many future musical and non-musical productions. All auditions are open to any interested persons.

Learner and Lowes Camelot was a huge success this summer! We saw audience members from three years old to ninety-eight come together and enjoy a classic.
